Photo critic corner
This must be one of those Izzeytheri postcards I must assume. Leaving aside the respectability of the Maldivian MPs we will however address the issues at hand.
1. Photog must have been a big fan of rule of thirds... but what we see here is... what? a large blank empty wall. Followed by an empty chamber. Albeit a sinisterly lit one! Followed by...
2. Cool ambient though... but killed off with a powerful flash bringing out harshly... an empty chair, ugly, shiny table sides... and a guy in a separate discussion.
3. Usually people 'read' photos from center to clock wise... So here is the big empty followed by ugly empty (chamber) followed by the blank stares of the people in ties...
4. ... leading to wtf? The centre of attention (of all the people) is chopped off?
5. So no subject then? Not amusing.
6. Hey, my eyes confirm I may be wrong, there is a subject. My eyes are drawn to the guy in dull black coat. Addressed before. But why am I not seeing more of him? Who is he talking? About what?
7. What could be the biggest mistake of this photo is... the awkward height/viewpoint of the photog. That is why 85+ heads are all crowded into a thin dense line of... heads. :p
8. The odd tilt to the right could also have been corrected, bringing at least one set of those distracting borders into visual alignment of the photo.
